Found a brilliant little application that will clean up your COD2 folder and return it to a fresh install state. It doesn't remove the 1.3 patch though which is a good thing.
Game Tweaks/Frames per Second.......
Is your game a bit JITTERY?, is it running SLOW?, Changed your game settings under COD2's Graphics Menu, and you want to know how many FRAMES PER SECOND (FPS) you are getting??????????
Its easy, just bring down the game console (the "¬" button) and type in: /cg_drawFPS 1 ,then press ENTER
this displays the frames per second (FPS) counter at the top right of the screen,
To turn it off again, type in: /cg_drawFPS 0
If you are running the game in DirectX7, you will notice the fps is capped at 91fps, (not sure of the DX9 cap??)
To increase this value, simply type in: /com_maxfps 200
or however many fps you desire, the values are between 1 & 1000
This command determines the maximum frames per second (fps) possible.
If set to 0, it disables the FPS cap.
Any value higher than 0 caps your FPS to that level.
The main reason to use this command would be to smooth framerate fluctuation, as framerate spikes can cause jerky gameplay.
Make Your Name a Colour Name.....
Want to know how to change your name, in game............?????
Bring down the console (the "¬" button) and type in: /name "whatever your name is"
How do I change the colour? I have been asked,
Well you need to bring down the console and type: /name ^6TheMookster this will show up as TheMookster,
You do not have to use "6", this corresponds to the colour violet, the numbers 0-7 each have a colour assigned to them:
^0 = Black
^1 = Red
^2 = Green
^3 = Yellow
^4 = Dark Blue
^5 = Light Blue
^6 = Violet
^7 = White
so typing: /name ^2TheMookster would show as TheMookster and so on............................
Note: when you enter the ^ prefix with a number, they disappear, don't worry this is just so they don't show up, in game.
Make Your Game as Pure as The First Time You Loaded It
Fed up with all the different Mod's in COD2, changing your game, all rifles, no fog, new loadscreen picture, etc
well here is a little utility that will clean out your game and return it to its original condition, without deleting a thing, its easy to use and small to download,
Pure-COD2 is a utility that moves all third party .iwd files from the Call of Duty 2 main folder, and into a new folder called moved mods,
Any new maps you have previously downloaded won't be lost, you just choose to keep them, or you can drag & drop the ones you choose to keep back into your "main" folder...........
Bind Keys, Now You Don't Have To Type In Game.
Do you have trouble playing the game, and typing things in, at the same time? then you need bind keys.........
For example, if you just wanted to say "hello", here's what you have to do...........
Open the console (the "¬" key), then type: /bind F5 say hello
Then when you press the F5 key ingame the word hello will appear on the screen,
You don't have to use the F5 key, just choose any spare key that is not used for a game command,
Always type /bind , then the 'key you choose' then the word 'say' , then 'text you choose' , then press enter,
To change the colour of your text, use the ^ key and a number, prior to your chosen text, as in the colour name tutorial above,
For example: /bind F7 say ^6your sister looks good naked would show up in game as: your sister looks good naked (not recommended though!!
Oh, and when choosing a 'F' key as a bind, you must type the command using the 'F' key and the '7' key, not the 'F7' key,
Would certainly be interested if it also exists for moh because my FPS is really bad

Try this - it may help
Increasing FPS and Preventing Visual Lag:
1. Change all your texture/detail settings under "Video" and "Advanced" to "Medium".
2. This includes terrain, effects, curve and model texture/details.
3. For a better increase - curve and terrain detail should be set to low/lowest. Curve detail requires more processing to make objects appear smoother. The Quake 3 engine (which MOH:AA uses) is not the greatest at terrain rendering, so you'll gain quite a bit of performance by decreasing terrain detail - the visual differnce may hardly noticeable.
4. Remember to click "Apply" to make sure any changes take effect.
5. Change your video settings to 16 bit color and 32 bit texture.
Things To Consider:
1. If you have a Nvidia chipset based video card (TNT/TNT2/Geforce, etc.):
16 bit color with 32 bit textures is a much faster combination than 32 bit color with 32 bit textures - and there isn't much of a visual difference. The following is part of a "STMicroelectronics Kyro II 64MB" review.
The chart "16-bit vs 32-bit Performance" demonstrates the performance increase in running 16 bit vs. 32 bit for video cards (such as all Nvidia models - GF2, GF3, TNT, etc.) that are capable of using 16 bit (the Kyro 2 is not): 16-bit vs 32-bit Performance
2. Simple or no shadows are much faster than complex shadows:
Shadows require a lot more calculations and require at least twice the amount of pixels to draw than normal textures - most likely they won't be noticed during gameplay. Detailed Instructions On Increasing FPS and Preventing Visual Lag:
1. Run MOH:AA - see How To - Run MOH:AA.
2. Click on the left radio controls (Options).
3. Click on the rightmost Controls (Video).
4. Click on "Texture Detail" - choose "Medium".
5.Click on "Color Depth" - choose "16".
6.Click on "Color Texture Color Depth" - choose "32".
7.Click on "Texture Filter" - choose "Bilinear".
8. Click on the "Apply" button.
9. Click on the "Back" button.
10. Click on the top controls (Advanced).
11. Click on "Terrain Detail" - choose "Medium/Low".
12. Click on "Model Detail" - choose "Medium".
11. Click on "Effects Detail" - choose "Medium".
12. Click on "Curve Detail" - choose "Medium/Low".
13. Click on the "Shadows" - choose "Simple/None".
14. Click on the "Apply" button.
15. Click on the "Back" button.
Why lower settings?:
MOH:AA is using super texture quality so even the medium/low settings in MOH:AA are still more beautiful than the maxed out settings in other games.
How To - Display and Read The Lagometer:
1. Display the MOH:AA console - See: How To - Display The Console.
2. Type "cg_lagometer 1" without the quotes.
3. Type "cg_lagometer 1" without the quotes, turn to it off.
About The Lagometer:
cg_lagometer
Set this to 1 to monitor your connection - The first line is related to your graphics card updating displayed frames in time with received gameworld updates from the server. It will be blue if frames are being rendered in time with the world updates. If it has a lot of yellow then gameworld updates are not being displayed and are being dropped. In this case reduce your snaps or tweak your visual settings to raise your average framerate so it is always above your snaps setting. Another option is to increase cl_timenudge by a very small value, note that if you are using a negative value for cl_timenudge the first line of the graph may be mostly yellow. See cl_timenudge section for more information.
The second line is similar to the Quake2 netgraph in that green means packets are being received okay, yellow that capping is causing your client to reject packets and red that the packet was lost. In the case of yellow increase your rate or try lowering your snaps. If you have a lot of red then change ISP or server. If you have to play on the server or use the ISP then make sure that your cl_packetdup is set to 1 and try adjusting snaps and cl_maxpackets to compensate for the lost packets."
Adjust Your Rate To Avoid Lag:
The following is only for DSL, Cable, or higher bandwidth connections.
Do not follow these instructions if you are connecting at a lower bandwidth - instead click on the following link and use the preconfigured network/online settings:
How To - Set Your Connection Speed, Name, Axis, Allies, and Force Models
The default rate settings for cable and DSL (20000 or 50000) are much too high for the current client/server setups.
How To - Adjust Your Rate:
There Are Two Methods:
Method #1:
1. Display the MOH:AA console - See: How To - Display The Console.
2. Type "rate 10000" without the quotes - that's 4 zeros.
3. To monitor network performance dynamically, click here:
How To - Display The Lagometer
Put A Cap On Your FPS:
The biggest issue with FPS drops and peaks is the inconsistency, which can make your mind think the game is choppy or laggy at times.
In order to keep the game consistent is it very important to cap your FPS.
A good "rule of thumb" is to never let your FPS exceed 10-15 digits above the lowest common point.
Do not base this on the rare and very low drops.
If at the lowest common point in the game - multiplayer - you get 30 FPS, you should cap your FPS at 45, and so forth.
If you do not see your FPS, click here: How To - Display Your FPS
How To - Cap Your FPS:
1. Display the MOH:AA console - See: How To - Display The Console.
2. Type "com_maxfps ##" without the quotes. ## = your max fps.
